Twycross Zoo is located on Burton Road, Atherstone, CV9 3PX, making it an easy family day out for visitors from across the Midlands.

If you’re driving, the zoo is on the A444, which can be reached via the A5 or M42 Junction 11. Twycross Zoo also has a dedicated Directions & Parking page and publishes a zoo map and app to help families plan their route around the site before they arrive.

Because the zoo covers 100+ acres, it’s worth arriving with plenty of time so you can enjoy the animals, play areas, talks and family attractions without rushing.

Good to know before you go

Parking: Twycross Zoo has on-site parking and now operates a car park charge, with the zoo explaining this supports essential infrastructure improvements to keep the visitor experience safe and enjoyable.

Food and drink: Families are well catered for with restaurants, cafés and kiosks on site, there are picnic benches around the zoo plus an indoor picnic area in Cockatoo Café.

Accessibility: The zoo provides a Digital Access Pass system for visitors with access requirements, and publishes dedicated accessibility information before you visit.
