Blackpool Zoo is located in Blackpool, Lancashire, making it a great choice for families visiting the seaside or planning a day out in the North West.

Getting to Blackpool Zoo is easy, with the zoo located just two miles inland from Blackpool’s famous Golden Mile in a picturesque part of town near Stanley Park, Marton Mere and Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

If you’re travelling by car, follow the brown elephant signs from the M55 or Blackpool promenade, or use FY3 8PP for sat nav. If you’re arriving by train, Blackpool North is the most convenient station, with buses and taxis available to the zoo, while Blackpool South is around 3 miles away.

You can also reach the zoo by bus, with services linking Blackpool town centre, South Shore and other nearby areas.

• Opening times: Open daily from 10am, with closing times varying throughout the year and last admission 45 minutes before closing
• Baby facilities: You’re welcome to breastfeed anywhere in the zoo, and a private room is available via Visitor Services. A microwave for bottles and baby food can be used in the Lakeview Café
• What to bring: Dress for the weather, with an umbrella on rainy days or sun protection on warmer days
• Family extras: Indoor Playbarn, dining options and gift shop on site
• Lost property: Lost items are taken to the Visitor Services hub at the main entrance
