Say hello to the world’s fastest zip line right here in the UK at Zip World Penrhyn Quarry, North Wales. Actually made up of two separate zip lines, you’ll first be treated to a run down the “little zip”, which is still a very impressive experience, spanning the length of the quarry and giving you a great taster for the main event to come! You’ll then embark on our iconic red army trucks, driving around and up this historic quarry to the launch point for Velocity 2.

Stretching to over 1.5 kilometres, we’ve had customers reach speeds of up to (and above) 100 mph on this adventure. With four lines side-by-side, it’s a great family adventure, particularly good for encouraging some healthy sibling rivalries, or parents racing kids down the line.

All your required kit is provided for the adventure, and you’ll receive a comprehensive safety briefing before taking part. It’s suitable for ages from 10 and up, and children under the age of 18 require an adult to take part (ratio of 1:3). You should allow 2 hours for Velocity 2, but don’t forget, Penrhyn Quarry is also home to the Blondin Restaurant, serving up delicious, locally sourced food, as well as Quarry Karts, another one-of-a-kind adventure, so you can have a whole day of adrenaline to remember.
