The first zip line in Europe when it opened at Zip World’s Slate Caverns site, Titan has been reborn as Titan 2 for 2021 with a new tour element added to the experience. Located as it is in the historic slate mining community of Blaenau Ffestiniog and at the iconic Llechwedd mine, the tour is a 45 minute journey in an ex-army truck led by an expert guide. They’ll take you around the 1,400 ft tall manmade mountains that dominate this landscape, and talk you through all the trappings of the mines and quarries, from quarry mills to cutting sheds.

After the tour, Titan 2 really comes into its own, with two zip lines spanning a combined 1 kilometre in distance to enjoy. These take place in a seated position, offering a more relaxed adrenaline experience (if there is such a thing!) where you can take in the stunning, panoramic views as you descend.

A full safety briefing and all the kit you need to take part is of course provided to you, while the experience as a whole is able to be enjoyed by ages 7 and over. You can also hire head cameras to capture your adventure and give you a memento you’ll be able to treasure forever.
