The world’s fastest seated zip line, Phoenix represents the rising from the ashes of the iconic and historic Tower Colliery, what was once the oldest continually working deep-coal mine in the UK.

Your adventure will start on the ground in the heart of the Zip World Tower site, below the impressive pithead that’s become the symbol of this area’s past. You’ll be kitted up and given a comprehensive briefing, before being transported up to the top of the Rhigos Mountain where the first zip line begins.

Phoenix is made up of two sets of four parallel lines spanning over 1.5 kilometres, so you can race friends or family to be the first to the bottom. Speeds of up to 70 mph can be expected thanks to the fact that this is actually Zip World’s steepest zip line to date. The first line carries you over the Llyn Fawr reservoir, with stunning panoramic views of the Brecon Beacons beyond, with the second speeding down close to the trees below and returning you back to the main Tower site.

As it’s a seated zip line, kids from 7 and over are able to take part in this adventure, making it an ideal family adventure – particularly given the four side-by-side lines. Head cameras are available to hire to capture your experience, and the Tower Coaster is also on site so you can plan a complete day of adventure.
