If your family fancies pitting themselves against a subterranean challenge that will push them to the limits, Caverns should be their adventure of choice. Requiring up to 3 hours of bravery, determination and concentration, it’s a series of 13 zip lines, via ferrata, rope bridges, tightropes and more, all suspended high up in Zip World’s disused, cavernous mines.

It’s designed for anyone over the age of 10, though how easy or difficult you will find it to complete really depends on your confidence with heights. It’s a great adventure to take part in as a family, encouraging each other to complete the course and offering advice and support as you work your way round. Zip World’s experienced instructors will give you a detailed briefing before your adventure, as well as all the kit you need to take part. They’ll also be on hand should you get stuck on your way round the course – it’s a controlled experience though you ultimately have much more impact on what happens on your way round than a traditional Zip World adventure.

Caverns is completely underground, so you can take part during the worst of the Welsh weather and still be completely dry. It’s a stunning location to really push yourself and have a great, active day out with the family.
