Gulliver's World, located in Warrington, is the perfect theme park for families with younger children. The park opened in 1989, with a hotel added in 2012, and is designed with children up to the age of 13 in mind. Here, big thrill rides don't dominate the skyline. Instead, more than 30 smaller rides and family favourites are split into seven themed areas: Main Square, Lilliput Land, Gully's Cartoon Studios, Western World, Smuggler's Wharf, Safari Kingdom and the Lost World.
Gulliver's World is one of the top North West attractions for family days out through the school holidays but is also an extremely popular choice for term-time days out thanks to its low ride height limits. Guests under 90cm can enter free of charge, whilst those over 90cm will have a wealth of rides to choose from.
Rides at Gulliver's include The Wriggler - a classic caterpillar roller coaster - and the Big Cheese Adventure junior drop tower. For older children, the Antelope Wooden Coaster is a firm favourite and can be ridden by any guests over 110cm. Between the rides, there are indoor and outdoor play areas to stop at.
For all-weather play, Gulliver's World is also home to the Splash Zone - an indoor water play area that's open all year - and the Roller Zone roller-skating rink. There's also a NERF Blast Arena, for children at least 6 years old.
Parking at Gulliver's World is free of charge, and there are plenty of places to eat on-site including a pizza buffet, a diner and a selection of fast food kiosks.
Opening times vary throughout the year, with Gulliver's World closed through the winter months except for special events such as Bonfire Night and Christmas celebrations. Most attractions are open from Easter through to October, but it's recommended that you check opening times before booking tickets.
