We don’t need to worry about our summer bods anymore – although who really cared anyway! Autumn means it’s time for FOOD! For a fun and quirky family day out this October half term, take the kids to a food festival happening near you. They might discover some new and exciting flavours!
The UK’s biggest Vegan event, VegFestUK, is returning to Olympia London on October 27-28, with a vegan food village featuring goodies from all corners of the globe!
Spooky Cinema Trip
This October expect lots of spooky and seasonal films to come to UK cinemas.
The House with a Clock in Its Walls is out in cinemas now, a book adaptation telling the tale of magic and mystery in an old creaky house. Perfect for younger kids wanting a spooky adventure this Halloween. There’s also Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween, a fun Halloween flick with plenty of laughs for the kids.

Scarefest at the Kids' Favourite Theme Park
Before the theme parks all close their doors for winter, it’s time for the spookiest season of the year to take over! See which theme park is suitable for your kids, as some are definitely ‘spooky’ and others ‘scream-worthy’.

Autumnal Walk or Bike Ride
Don’t let the autumn slip you by, enjoy the crisp but sunny days this half term with a family walk or bike ride. Make it an adventure and Google for trails and routes in your area that you haven’t journeyed on before. This is a great day for unwinding and appreciating our beautiful British countryside.
If you’ve got Picassos-to-be, you could collect some unusual and pretty leaves along the way and make some autumn arts and crafts.
