Camel Creek is said to be Cornwall's greatest adventure park, making it one of the most popular days out for families in the southwest. The attraction opened in 1989 as the Crealy Adventure Park & Resort, and is now a thriving theme park with a huge selection of rides (including many water rides) for both younger children aged 6 and under, and for older kids up to the age of 13. The park has introduced many new and exciting rides since its opening, with a good mix of exhilarating rollercoasters, gentle toddler-friendly rides, and non-ride attractions. Download the park map here.
The park is divided into four distinct lands: Swampy and Dina Land featuring themed rides celebrating Camel Creek's two mascots, Kiddie's Kingdom with gentle attractions such as a carousel and playhouse, Thunder Canyon which is home to the only 5D theatre in Cornwall, and Creature Creek, where there's a meerkat exhibit, petting zoo, reptile house, and stables. There's also the Show Arena, where kids can meet Swampy and Dina. One of the best-loved rides for older kids at the park is the Raging Rivers slide, which features an almost vertical drop. Five on-site eateries, including the dessert-focused Chocolate Factory, ensure families can enjoy a full, fun day out at Camel Creek.
Camel Creek is an all-weather resort, and is open Thursdays - Sundays all throughout the year, with normal opening times between 10:00am and 5:00pm. The park is located in Padstow, Cornwall, and is easily accessible by car. For more information about transport, opening hours, and the park itself.
