Escape the Daily Grind is a coffee shop nestled in the heart of Balham, offering a relaxing, travel-inspired environment to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The owner has worked in the hospitality industry for nearly 20 years including the UK’s leading coffee companies and boutique coffee shops in Sydney.
Our passion is high-quality coffee, complemented with our range of delicious, handmade cakes and artisan pastries.
With our comfy, laid-back atmosphere, we hope Escape the Daily Grind will be the place for you to do just that.
We serve premium coffee and loose leaf teas along with great cakes and pastries as a morning or afternoon treat. Alternatively, why not call in at lunchtime and choose from our selection of made to order sandwiches, on your choice of bread?
We can pre-order specialty whole, locally hand-baked cakes for that special occasion.
The decor features pictures from the owner's travels which can evoke memories of your own adventures. A selection of travel books are also available for browsing and will perhaps inspire your choice for your next destination!
