Mexican gastronomy, with its great variety of traditional regional dishes, is rich in flavour, aroma, and colour. Its origins go back to the Aztecs or further back still. Its most basic ingredient is corn (i.e.maize), which is excellent for gluten free diets. Other staples in the diet include beans, eggs, and cheese - so we are able to provide interesting vegetarian dishes.
Food in Mexico is different depending on the region - for example, the north is infuenced by TexMex, it is different again in Puebla and surrounding areas, and different in Oaxaca and Yucatan. Even the same dish can be prepared in different ways depending on region. Our dishes are mainly based on those from the Puebla region.
Our chefs were trained in authentic Mexican cuisine by Mexican chefs for over 10 years before coming to the UK and we are pleased to offer an exciting, varied, authentic Mexican menu, with dishes seldom found elsewhere in the UK.
