SEA LIFE Manchester is an entertaining and informative attraction that offers visitors the opportunity to get up close to over 5,000 sea creatures. Located in The Trafford Centre in Manchester, SEA LIFE Manchester displays a wide variety of rescued, rare and unusual creatures, including octopi, jellyfish, sharks and stingrays. As well as showcasing sea creatures to the public, the centre also offers interactive experiences, where visitors can touch and learn about sea creatures, watch them feeding and test their knowledge of sea life with a free kids quiz trail. SEA LIFE is a walkthrough attraction that is suitable for families and children of all ages.
Visitors to SEA LIFE Manchester follow a walkthrough trail that journeys through the various displays. Many of the displays showcase specific sea creatures, such as Turtle Beach, Stingray Bay and Jellyfish Seas. The underwater ocean tunnel gives visitors the memorable experience of walking through a submerged tunnel with sharks and rays swimming overhead. There are plenty of talks and feeding shows throughout the day and children can get the opportunity to touch or hold a crab or starfish at the Interactive Rockpool Experience. SEA LIFE Manchester is also home to Europe’s first sea bed walk. SeaTREK provides one hour of diving experience for anyone over the age of eight years. The attraction allows participants to breathe naturally inside a helmet, allowing you to explore the underwater environment surrounded by fish, turtles and sharks.
SEA LIFE Manchester is located at Barton Square inside The Trafford Centre in Manchester. With 11,000 free parking spaces provided by The Trafford Centre, the easiest way to reach the centre is by car. The Trafford Centre is easily located from junctions 9 or 10 off the M60. You can also travel by bus from Manchester to The Trafford Centre Bus Station on a large number of bus routes.
