Visitors must walk through various displays that are dedicated to specific sea creatures, including otters, rays and turtles. One section of the trail is a submerged tunnel through which visitors can walk and enjoy the experience of seeing sharks and rays swimming overhead. The centre is also home to Yorkshire’s only Seal Hospital, where rescued seal pups are treated before being released. The Interactive Rockpool gives children the chance to touch and hold crabs and starfish, and there are also plenty of opportunities to see live feeding demonstrations throughout the day. The centre’s newest attraction is Jellyfish Discovery, which gives insight into the mysterious life of jellyfish as they dance through multicoloured tanks. In addition to the sea life displays, SEA LIFE Scarborough also gives visitors the opportunity to pan for gold or test their skills at golf in the Pirate Adventure Mini Golf.
SEA LIFE Scarborough is situated in the tourist heart of Scarborough on the sea front. You can reach the centre by car by following the brown tourist signs for SEA LIFE or North Bay Leisure Parks as you enter Scarborough. A Pay and Display car park is located directly outside the SEA LIFE centre. Alternatively, you can take a train to Scarborough Station.
