More About This Offer
Set in a large, building opposite the Central Pier, you'll notice the SEA LIFE centre by the large statue of Neptune over the door. A perfect day out for families, and one that's fun for all weathers, the SEA LIFE centre has activities for all ages. SEA LIFE has over 50 displays showing sea creatures from around the world, and allows you to see over 2,000 exotic fish, rays, and seahorses under one roof.
At the heart of the SEA LIFE is the glass tunnel set under a huge aquarium, and here you'll be able to get up close to sharks, exotic fish, and turtles. There's a calm atmosphere, where you can watch playful fish swimming around their tank, and enjoy learning about all the different species. The interactive rockpool is also a great chance for kids and adults to learn about the little creatures that live on the beach, and there's the opportunity to touch crabs, starfish, and other rock dwelling sea life. The centre has a daily feeding times and talks, which is a great way to learn about the creatures on display, and to ask the staff questions. School groups can also be accommodated.
The SEA LIFE centre also has shark experiences that can be booked in advance, where adults and older children can enjoy getting as close as possible to these interesting creatures. There's no need for diving experience; you simply don a wet suit and snorkel and can enter the aquarium, sharing the space with sharks and spotting them from the safety of your diving cage.
Blackpool is easy to reach by car, just take the M6, and then get off at the M55. There are then brown tourist signs to take you straight to the SEA LIFE centre.
