More About This Offer
what we do:
Public River Cruises the boat departs from Harwich Ha'Pny Pier, and heads directly to the biggest container ships in the world. The Port of Felixstowe is the UK's largest container port, and is in the top 5 largest ports in Europe. Once we have passed the stunning ships and huge cranes, we enter the River Orwell where the 6 knots speed restriction is in place, taking us to the Orwell Bridge. We pass Suffolk Yacht Harbour on our right. Soon after Pin Mill is on our left. Pin Mill lies within the Suffolk Coast and Heath's Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and is a designated Conservation Area. It is now generally known for the historic Butt & Oyster public house and for sailing. In the distance you will be able to see the Orwell Bridge which was opened to road traffic in 1982. With a length of 1287m, 24m width and 43m air draft, she was the longest pre stressed concrete span of her time. Once we approach the Orwell Bridge we will slowly make a turn and begin our journey back to Harwich Ha'Pny Pier.
We love being on the water, and to share the calm of an enjoyable cruise along one of the most beautiful estuaries in East Anglia with you!
