If someone in your family has always dreamed of driving a JCB, then a visit to Diggerland in Yorkshire is a must.
The digger-inspired theme park, located in Castleford, has over 20 rides and offers driving experiences for digger lovers young and old. There is something for everyone; younger guests can enjoy attractions like the Diggerland Train and the Dig-a-Round swings, whereas older visitors can brave the more thrilling rides like the Spindizzy. You can plan your visit by taking a look at the park map before you go. https://www.kidspass.co.uk/docs/Diggerland-Yorkshire-Park-Map.pdf
If you need a break from the diggers there's plenty to keep the whole family occupied. Diggerland Yorkshire has a two-storey indoor soft play area, suitable for children age 0-12. There's also a go-kart track and, for the under 5s, the Little Tikes Wheelz Play Zone.
If you're in need of refreshment, there's an onsite cafe where you can purchase food and beverages, but if you prefer to bring your own food there is an outdoor picnic area.
As you might expect from a digger-themed amusement park, the ground can get muddy, especially if it's raining. Diggerland strongly recommends that you wear sensible clothing when you visit. Also, because some of the machines require guests to operate foot pedals, sandals and high heels are not allowed. You can find out more about how to prepare for your visit here (https://www.diggerland.com/faqs/).
Diggerland is easily accessible from the M62 and is just minutes away from Junction 31. There are free parking facilities on site and Electric Vehicle Charging points are available. The park is also easy to reach by bus or train. The nearest station is Castleford.
