A family business operating for over 20 years, we are the only riverboat cruise company on the River Avon to offer our own onboard guide. We operate 365 days a year, river conditions permitting, and there’s no need to book in advance for our daily sightseeing cruises. Our themed evening cruises are popular with local residents and tourists alike.

We also specialise in pre-booked trips, corporate events, parties and school groups, and offer discounted rates for educational institutions and group travel.
Bancroft operates two boats – the Rita Ellen and the Princess Marina. The Rita Ellen is an elegant event cruiser with a fully licensed bar and galley. She is ideal for a enjoying a cream tea while sightseeing, as well as for catered events. The Rita Ellen is DDA compliant and has a lift for bringing wheelchairs in to cabin. The Princess Marina is a wide-beam open cruiser. She’s perfect for sightseeing cruises and coach and school trips.

All day cruises start and finish at the landing stage at the Holiday Inn Stratford-upon-Avon, just a 5-minute walk from Stratford’s main coach and car park. For weddings we can moor at Holy Trinity church to meet the wedding party and take them out onto the river for Champagne & Canapés or for longer reception cruises.
