Paradise Wildlife Park

Previously known as Broxbourne Zoo, Paradise Wildlife Park is a family-owned visitor attraction in Hertfordshire close to the M25. Originally opened in 1984, the site has been developed with animal welfare in mind and a conscious effort to accurately recreate the natural habitats of its resident animals. The park also plays a valuable part in breeding and is a member of the European Endangered Species programme which seeks, through breeding, to protect many species that are in serious decline.

Attractions

Paradise Wildlife Park accommodates over 400 animals including small mammals, birds, reptiles, big cats and primates; the park is committed to extending visitors’ understanding of different species and offers a comprehensive variety of special events, animal experience days and interactive shows. Younger visitors will also enjoy the adventure playgrounds, mini-golf, paddling pools, woodland railway (complete with dinosaurs) and tractor rides, making a visit to Paradise Wildlife Park an invigorating and unforgettable day out. The Zoo is famous for being the only zoo in the UK with the 5 Big Cats and they also have the largest collection of Small Monkeys in the UK and the largest Anaconda in the UK.

Opening times

Paradise Wildlife Park is open every day from 9.30am, except Christmas Day. The park closes at 6pm in spring and summer and 5pm at all other times of the year.

Directions

Paradise Wildlife Park is located 20 miles north of London on the A10, close to Junction 25 of the M25. The site can be found by following the brown tourist signs.

A courtesy minibus service operates from Broxbourne Railway Station for visitors arriving by train, who are advised to request the PWP hotline at the ticket office. A minimal fee applies.
