The company was founded in 1978 and was one of the first independent golf high street retail outlet in the North West of England. A family business which grew from strength to strength, realising that golf was not just a sport for the privileged during the late 1970s and through the 1980s. In 1984 the site of the business changed due to the growth of the golf retail business which saw Greg Nicholson Golf at the forefront, stocking all the latest equipment & clothing that golf had to offer. In 1989 the site of the premises was extended to cope with the ever expanding golf trade. New lines and services have been added over the years to include custom fit, club repairs, and a good selection of demo clubs aswell as a comprehensive clothing range.

We have long been established not only as a retail company but also a mail order company that has built up long and successful relationships with our customers both in the UK, Europe and further afield.

In June 2013, we moved from our Urmston premises and have invested considerably in a new retail store and new website to expand our business and offer even more choice at extremely competitive prices  We are now based in the heart of Cheshire, at Blakemere Village, Sandiway, Cheshire with retail shops, leisure activities and a diary of forthcoming events,  there is truly something for everyone (www.visitblakemere.co.uk).  We now also have a ladies golf and leisure department with ever increasing brands and provide ladieswear and apparel for on and off the golf course.
