There are 12 separate zones with something for every member of the family to enjoy – whatever their age.

Zone One comprises the top pasture which is a superb interactive area where children can get up close and personal with their favourite animals be that a farm animal or a scary tarantula. Hands on experiences include Falconry and Birds of Prey displays, traditional donkey rides, reptile encounter and the totally unique opportunity to meet a private collection of Aldabra Giant Tortoises. Your child can enjoy the same kind of experience they would have visiting a zoo and get to be a junior zoo keeper for a few hours.

The Showground Arena is a non-stop hive of entertainment throughout the event. Geronimo is the only UK family festival to incorporate a full-scale showground arena and visitors will find it hard to tear themselves away. Events are timetabled each day and include jousting tournaments, a Shetland Pony Grand National, Motorcycle Stunt Displays, Fire shows and much more.

Without doubt one of the most popular zones of Geronimo Festival is the Main Stage. 2017 will see some of children’s TV royalty take to the stage to entertain the masses and headlining on the Saturday is the one and only Justin Fletcher. Supremely popular with little ones and their parents, Justin will take to the stage in the afternoon to ensure that more families than ever get the chance to enjoy the show. On Sunday, Mr Bloom will headline the Geronimo Main Stage introducing his brand new 40-minute show which includes his very own band. Throughout the whole show, many famous and much loved faces from children’s entertainment will keep families involved in all the action the festival has to offer. Meet Swashbuckle, Art Attack’s Lloyd Warbey, Andy Day, Alex Winters, Katy Ashworth, Luke and Emma and the Milkshake! Presenters. What’s more, this year will also welcome some very famous stars of the social media world to inspire older children. Meet popular YouTubers, Amazing Arabella, Matt Smith and more big names yet to be announced.

Parents often worry that the youngest members of the family will be left out but not at Geronimo. The Three Foot & Under area in Zone Four has so much to engage little ones, they will be spoilt for choice. Choose to partake in Baby Yoga, Tumble Tots, Moo Music, Baby Sensory classes, Storytelling, Strider bikes and much more. It’s also a lovely way to sit back and enjoy precious family time with your babies and toddlers. Zone Four also features a Quiet Zone which is made available for families of children with special needs. At Geronimo HQ, we go that extra mile for families and also provide baby changing and breastfeeding tents which are fully stocked with complimentary supplies of baby food, nappies and wipes.

If your family is up for a challenge then head to the Adrenaline Zone. This area is a brilliant place for your children to get involved in activities that they may not be able to enjoy every day. Parents can be assured that all activities can be  enjoyed in a safe environment managed by qualified instructors. Go on Bear Grylls’ Assault Course, take to the High Ropes, throw an axe, go caving, try parkour, take fencing taster sessions or face one of four exciting climbing walls. The adrenaline opportunities are endless and your child will want to try everything!

New for 2017 is Zone Six which is home to the whimsical Spinney Hollow which takes your family on a journey to a simpler time where you can enjoy traditional crafts including spoon carving, wool spinning, willow basket weaving and more. Artisans will deliver workshops to all ages and this is an area parents will enjoy as much as the children. At many festivals, bespoke craft classes carry additional costs but Geronimo brings the best talent from across the UK included in your ticket price.

Sit back and be entertained in the Theatre Zone. The Geronimo Festival Theatre Tent can seat a staggering 1500 people and offers a wide range of shows from morning until evening. As well as shows from magicians and illusionists, children can take part in Jedi Training, a Frozen Singalong and a master class from the Sam Sam the Bubble Man. Here you can experience award-winning theatre companies at their very best and all free of charge.

Roll up! Roll Up for the Circus Zone. Geronimo has not one but two huge Circus Tents and is the only festival in the UK to house such a vast array of entertainment. Learn circus skills, take part in a trapeze school and even introduce your kids to acrobatics class. These money can’t buy experiences are available for everyone to take part in throughout the festival.

The only area of Geronimo which carries a nominal additional charge is the Victorian Funfair but at just £1 a ride, children can be entertained on traditional Helter Skelter, Carousels and not forgetting the Cups & Saucers!

Curio-City in Zone 10 takes the weird and wonderful from festivals around the world and places them in one excitement-packed area. Spark imaginations with Camera Obscura or take part in a Giant game of Operation. Prepare to be amazed.

Many festivals offer craft zones but Geronimo’s is by far the best you will find as organisers strive to offer the most creative activities imaginable. As well as 25 structured craft sessions, visitors can also help to build a 50-foot Wooden Galleon from scratch, as well as making their mark on Geronimo’s first hand-crafted Cardboard City.

No festival would be complete without music and there is a huge, eclectic mix of music available in Zone 12. From African Drumming to Cardboard Harp classes, this is an area not to be missed. You can also enjoy the Baby Rave with your little ones and dance the festival away at the retro Silent Disco.
