More About This Offer
Blue Planet Aquarium, Chester
Located at the Cheshire Oaks retail park, Blue Planet Aquarium is a freshwater marine park that is home to Europe's largest number of sharks as well as hundreds of other creatures from the deep.
Built at a cost of £12 million in 1998, the aquarium is perfect for school trips as well as those wanting something a little different following their Cheshire Oaks retail experience.
Each day visitors are treated to Aquatheatre shows and they are able to get close and watch the park's divers feed the fish through an underwater window.
The aqua tunnel is a big draw as it allows visitors to walk through the middle of a large tank as see Sand Sharks, White Tips, Zebra Sharks and Tiger Sharks as they swim over their heads.
Qualified drivers can get a real shark experience by getting into the tanks themselves and spending 30 minutes alongside the aquatic mammals. Not for the fainthearted that one.
School trips, tourists and anyone else looking for a fin-tastic time.
